DVLA Personalised Registrations in Britain has announced today that it managed to sell the 5 O number plate for a record price - 87,853.75 GBP. The 5 O number plate is part of a series released by the British agency which also includes 1 O, 2 0, 3 O and 4 O. All five number plates add up to 566,344 GBP which will all go to the British Treasury.
Damian Lawson, DVLA Personalised Registrations’’ Marketing Manager, said “Again, we have been blown away by the level of interest in an O-registration. The decision to release them to the public has certainly proved worth while in terms of the revenue raised for the nation.”
On December 2, DVLA will put on auction the 6 O number plate.
