The German carmaker has announced today that the new Porsche 918 Spyder concept will be put on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, from October 1 through 7, 2010. The Porsche 918 Spyder concept was premiered at the Geneva Motor Show and since then it has created quite a frenzy around it. In fact, the Porsche 918 Spyder managed to get so much attention that the company bosses have no other choice but to put it into production.
The Porsche 918 Spyder features an extremely efficient and powerful powertrain that includes a 500 hp V8 combustion engine and two electric motors with 218 bhp. Although it outputs more than 700 hp, the Porsche 918 Spyder can actually offer a 3.0 litre/100 km (94.1 mpg imp) fuel consumption.
The price for list will be around 500,000 EUR so for the most of us, the only chance to get close to the Porsche 918 Spyder, will be the Porsche Museum.
