It's a know fact that Porsche will be present at this year's Detroit auto show with a world premiere. Everybody is expecting the production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder which received a massive positive response. The German press reports that the production version of the new 918 Spyder will actually be a coupe. The Porsche 918 Coupe is expected to come as a race car, powered by a V8 engine developing around 600 hp. This version of the Porsche 918 Coupe is thought to be the company's world premiere at the Detroit show.
The hybrid, Porsche 918 Spyder will be built on the same platform as the Porsche 918 Coupe and is expected to hit the market not sooner than 2014.
The Porsche 918 Coupe will be made available sooner and early indications say it will be priced at around 500,000 EUR which is quite a lot, even for a Porsche.
