Production Porsche 918 Spyder Leaked

 »  »  »

When it was first introduced two years ago in Geneva, the Porsche 918 Spyder concept caused quite a frenzy. Everyone was talking about it. Now it starts happening again. The first images of its production version leaked over the web last night. Apparently, the Porsche 918 Spyder's brochure was set loose over the web, revealing a few details about the future supercar. The production version of Porsche's 918 Spyder is going to be available in four solid colors, six metallic ones, and two "liquid" finishes. Apart from those, you'll also be able to order your 918 Spyder in two racing liveries: Martini Racing and Salzburg Racing. We're sure there's lots of additional information in that brochure, but these are about the only details released so far.

The Porsche 918 Spyder concept is powered by a V8 engine developing 500 hp and three electric motors, which have a combined output of more than 200 hp. The production version of the 918 Spyder is extremely likely to benefit from the same powertrain, which offers 94 mpg (3.0 liters/100 kilometers) and emits 70 g/km of CO2. We'll have more details on the production Porsche 918 Spyder as soon as they're available.
