According to latest developments, the Porsche 918 Spyder is very close to production. According to the manufacturer, it has around 900 potential buyers for the Porsche 918 Spyder. The company's development chief, Wolfgang Duerheimer, said in a recent interview that if they will receive 1,000 potential pre-orders for the Porsche 918 Spyder, they will put it into production. Come on people! Only 100 more pre-orders needed to see the Porsche 918 Spyder on the road.

In case you're not familiar with the Porsche 918 Spyder yet, here are some facts. The Porsche 918 Spyder is powered by two electric motors that output 218 bhp and a V8 petrol engine with 500 hp. Although the Porsche 918 Spyder hides an Icelandic volcano under its skin,

the carmaker says it's able to offer a 70 grams/km CO2 emissions level with a 3 litres/100 kilometers (94 mpg) fuel consumption.

Although the company says it has strong signals that there are already 900 buyers for the new car, it didn't disclose the Porsche 918 Spyder price yet.
