Audi announced at the end of last week the price list of the all-wheel-drive A1 quattro for the UK market. Out of the 333 units of the Audi A1 quattro planned for production, just 19 will make it on the British market. The Audi A1 quattro is powered by the same 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine as the TTS. This means it has an output of 256PS at 6,000rpm and 350Nm torque peak between 2,500 and 4,500rpm. With the quattro all-wheel-drive system and a six-speed manual transmission, Audi's quattro A1 is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 5.7 seconds. The pocket rocket's top speed is rated at 152mph. All this performance is available with a 32.8mpg fuel consumption on the combined cycle and a 199g/km CO2 emissions level.
The Audi A1 quattro comes equipped with an XDS selective differential lock and a special Electronic Stability Program (ESP), which can be switched off completely. The A1 quattro also comes with 312mm brake discs on the front axle, a direct 14.8:1 steering ratio and an advanced multi-link rear suspension.
The Audi A1 Quattro’s price for the UK market starts at £41,020 GBP. Audi claims that the A1 quattro's base price includes £11,000 GBP worth of equipment upgrades. The Ingolstadt carmaker will start accepting orders for the A1 quattro from next month.
