Audi revealed today the new Prologue concept, which previews the future design language of their Avant (station wagon / estate) models. The Audi Prologue Avant measures 5.11 meters in length, 1.97 meters in width and 1.4 meters in height. It has a 3.04-meter long wheelbase. Audi is going to present the Prologue Avant with a plug-in hybrid drive. This hybrid powertrain includes the 3.0 TDI engine (353 PS) and an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed tiptronic transmission that adds 100 kW to the mix. The new Audi Prologue develops a total of 455 PS and 750 Nm (553.2 lb-ft) of torque. As you're probably expecting the Prologue Avant comes with the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.

According to Audi, the Prologue Avant is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.1 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). In terms of efficiency, it is rated with a NEDC 176mpg combined fuel consumption and a 43 g/km CO2 emissions level. Its 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery can be recharged inductively through AWC (Audi wireless charging) technology. In pure electric mode, the Audi Prologue Avant has a maximum range of 33.6 miles.
