mbDESIGN revealed today a new powerkit and a body kit for the original Audi R8 V8. mbDESIGN's powerkit for the Audi R8 increases the horsepower output of the 4.2 FSI V8 engine to 453 hp. The increase in power comes from a K&N air filter, a re-mapped ECU and a Capristo stainless steel exhaust system with electronic valve control. The new body kit of mbDESIGN's Audi R8 comes from Retouch and it includes a new front apron with an integrated carbon front splitter, the side skirts and side blades from the V10 version of the supercar, the carbon rear wing of the GT model, as well as the rear apron and the engine cover. mbDESIGN's body kit for the R8 also includes the carbon diffuser from the SuperCar24 and carbon wide mirror casings. The mbDESIGN Audi R8 sits on 20-inch alloys and a coilover suspension system.
For the interior of the Audi R8, mbDESIGN is offering various upgrades, including carbon trim parts, a Bang&Olufsen sound system, and Alcantara upholstery. The price of these mods is going to be announced at a later date.
