Audi released today the full specifications of the new RS5 TDI concept, along with its detailed performance figures. The Audi RS5 TDI, which is the first diesel model to wear the "RS" badge, is powered by a biturbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, equipped with an electrically driven turbo. According to Audi's official specs, the TDI RS5 develops 283 kW (385 hp) from 1,250 to 2,000 rpm and 750 Nm (553.2 lb-ft). It reaches the redline at 5,500 rpm. The additional electric turbocharger comes with an electric motor, which replaces the turbine wheel. This motor accelerates the compressor wheel to over 70,000 rpm in a few hundredths of a second, thus eliminating turbo lag. The turbocharger is rated with 2.4 bar of boost.

The official performance figures say that the RS5 TDI is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.0 seconds. It can reach the 124.3 mph (200 km/h) in less than 16 seconds. The Audi RS5 TDI's top speed is 174 mph (280 km/h). The Audi RS5 TDI is rated with a combined fuel consumption of 44.4 US mpg/ (5.3 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers) and a 225.3 g/mi (140 g/km) CO2 emissions level.
