Various sources are reporting today that the Audi TT RS Plus is in the works at the Ingolstadt plant. The TT RS Plus will be a hotter version of Audi's high performance coupe / roadster. It seems that some Audi customers are not quite pleased with the performance of the TT RS, and want more. Audi's TT RS Plus will be powered by the same 2.5-liter TFSI 5-cylinder engine equipped with turbocharging, as the regular TT-RS. However, the power output of the engine will be raised to 385 hp in the TT RS Plus.
Apart from having more power, the Audi TT RS Plus will also be lighter than the standard model. Audi says they will make the TT RS Plus lighter by more than 50 kg, by removing the car's rear seats.
This would change the whole balance of the car, which means that the TT RS Plus will also have a new suspensions setup. The TT RS Plus is expected to have new, and more aggressive aerodynamics, and probably the Audi quattro all-wheel-drive system.
