AC Schnitzer revealed at this year's Essen Motor Show their new BMW 428i Police car as part of the "TUNE IT! SAFE!" campaign. AC Schnitzer's new 4 Series Police car is powered by the standard engine, which has received a power kit that increases its output to 216 kW/294 hp. With the extra horsepower, the BMW 428i Police car is able to get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds and from 80 km/h to 180 km/h in 12.7 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 250 km/h. AC Schnitzer's BMW 428i patrol car comes with four chromed tail pipes, and the new Racing Evo exhaust trim parts. The Bimmer is also equipped with a 25-mm lowered adjustable racing suspension. The 428i patrol car's body kit includes front and rear bumpers, a rear diffuser, and a boot lid spoiler.

For the interior of the BMW 428i, AC Schnitzer chose aluminum pedals, handbrake handle and gear knob as well as new floor mats. The car sits on 21-inch Type VIII Lightweight forged rims and Hankook Ventus S1evo tires.
