The BMW M Performance Accessories M3 DTM was presented for the first time last weekend, at an event held in Autohaus Krauth in Heidelberg. A few fortunate customers and guests had the chance of seeing the new BMW M3 DTM in its official livery, before the racecar's debut in Hockenheim. BMW's new DTM racer will be premiered in the last race of the 2011 DTM season, which will take place on the Hockenheimring racetrack in Germany.
BMW Motorsport Director, Jens Marquardt, who was present at the event, mentioned the fact that the 2012 BMW M3 DTM's aerodynamics were developed in close collaboration with series production engineers.
Schnitzer, RBM and RMG will be BMW's three teams, which will compete in the 2012 DTM season. They will have two BMW M3 DTMs each. BMW already announced to of their drivers: Andy Priaulx (GB) and Augusto Farfus (BR).
