Fifth Gear recently released a video of their comparison test between the BMW M3 GTS and the mighty Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The two track super heroes were tested by Tiff Needell and Vicki Butler-Henderson. We've seen the M3 GTS battle a 911 before, but we have never seen it against the track-ready Porsche GT3 RS. The BMW M3 GTS is powered by the same V8 engine as the regular version, but it has a larger, 4.4-liter, displacement. It produces 450 bhp at 8,300 rpm and 440 Nm of torque at 3,750 rpm and BMW says it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is powered by a smaller, 3.8-liter engine, which develops the same 450 hp. However, Porsche's official specifications say
the that the 911 GT3 RS is slightly faster to 100 km/h, with a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time of just 4.1 seconds.
