Recently, a BMW M3 pickup prototype was spied during testing on the Nurburgring. Not much info is currently available on this BMW M3 pickup, but let's be honest, do you really think they're going to build such a thing. BMW is probably preparing its April Fool’s Day prank for this year. Afterall, April 1st is just around the corner and this is that time of the year when car manufacturers show their funny side.
The El Camino style BMW M3 pickup seems to be registered in Germany and wears the same white / black camouflage tape combination the company usually uses on its prototypes. The BMW M3 pickup conversion is based on the coupe version of the performance model. It has half its roof chopped off and they gave it a flatbed.
If this is not a prank (we are convinced it is), what are they thinking? Maybe Nurburgring needs a fast pickup to clear the track of the debris lost by the not-so-talented drivers that sometimes wonder around the circuit.
