Bentley EXP 9F

The Bentley EXP 9F was revealed today in Geneva, previewing the brand's future SUV. Currently, Bentley's EXP 9F is just a design study, but the carmaker is exploring the possibility of putting it into production, alongside the Mulsanne and Continental. The Bentley EXP concept on display in Geneva is powered by the 6.0-lliter W12 engine, which is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain is capable of generating 600 hp and 800 Nm of torque. However, Bentley says that the EXP 9F can be powered by the new 4.0 liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine too. It can even hold a hybrid powertrain. Unfortunately, Bentley did not disclose the 0-60 mph acceleration time of the EXP, nor its top speed.

In terms of exterior design, the EXP is all Bentley. The large round headlights and the trademark front grill define unmistakably that the EXP is a Bentley. However, the front fascia of the EXP is more of a "like it or hate it" type of deal. It will require some getting used to. The Bentley EXP comes with LED daytime running lights, immense 23-inch alloy wheels with a turbine fan blades design, and a center-lock spinner. Believe it or not, Bentley is not all about luxury. In fact, they've taken practicality quite serious in the case of the EXP. The concept features a wide two-part split tailgate. When opened EXP's tailgate shows that the SUV can hold everything your butler will ever need.

The Bentley EXP's rear end design is completed by two oval exhaust pipes.

The EXP's interior offers the same level of luxury you would expect from a Bentley. Wood, leather, aluminum, bronze and gunmetal are all used to create an exquisite atmosphere inside the EXP's cabin. Bentley fitted the EXP with a large TFT screen for displaying its instruments, a fold-down keyboard and Internet connectivity. Bentley chose a 4+1 seating configuration for the EXP and its rear armrest is in fact a cooling box.

Believe it or not, Bentley actually aims to make the EXP off-road worthy. The SUV features three different driving modes: Comfort, Sport and Off-Road.
