Brabus will display two new projects at this year's Geneva auto show: their Smart ForTwo Electric and eBike versions. With an output of 60 kW and 135 Nm of torque, the Brabus Smart ForTwo Electric Drive is a fun way of travelling around the city. Thanks to a sport suspension and a 10-mm lowered ride height, the Brabus electric Smart ForTwo offers improved handling and a sportier ride. As you probably know, electric vehicles are pretty quiet. To bring the electric Smart ForTwo to life, Brabus installs a special sound module, which is also helpful for alerting pedestrians of an incoming vehicle.
The electric Smart ForTwo also receives a sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, which also serve a different purpose.
With their help, the driver is able to regulate the braking energy recuperation system.
Brabus's Smart ForTwo Electric comes in a black / green two-tone exterior finish and sits on black 16- and 17-inch wheels. The small city car also features new front and rear spoilers. For the interior of the Smart ForTwo electric, Brabus is offering leather seats, stainless steel pedals, and a bespoke hand-brake handle. The dashboard instruments (cockpit clock and rev counter) have also been modified.
The Brabus Smart ForTwo Electric Drive's price has not been announced.
For those of you who like to travel under you own power too, Brabus is offering modified version of the Smart eBike. The electric motor of Brabus's Smart eBike develops 500 watts, which means that the bike has a top speed of 45 km/h. The bicycle comes with a matt black frame and fork, which are in contrast with its green quick release skewers, pedals, saddle, grips and brake calipers. Other distinctive features of the Brabus Smart eBike include the carbon fiber wheels, the four-piston brake calipers, the Sport Contact tires, weight-optimized cranks and pedals and the carbon seatpost.
Brabus Smart eBike's price and availability will also be announced at a later date.
