Buick Verano Turbo

GM revealed today the Buick Verano Turbo, which is going to go on sale later this year, at a currently undisclosed price. The turbo Verano comes from an Ecotec 2.0-liter engine, equipped with direct injection and continuously variable valve timing, that's good for 250 hp (187 kW) at 5300 rpm and 260 lb.-ft. (353 Nm) of torque at 2000 rpm. Buick says that the Verano Turbo is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. Even though its top speed has not been officially announced, we guess it's limited to 155 mph. Buick will sell the Verano Turbo with a choice between a six-speed automatic gearbox or a six-speed manual transmission. So far, the fuel economy and CO2 emissions tests on the Verano Turbo have not been finalized.

Apart from the engine, Buick did not make any changes in the case of the Verano Turbo to make it stand out. The exterior and interior design of the turbocharged version seem to be identical as the one of the regular Verano. The only thing setting it apart is the T badge next to the Verano name.
