The first image and the initial details of the new Citroen DSX Concept surfaced the web today, as the French carmaker is preparing to premiere it at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show in April. Citroen's DSX concept could preview a future SUV aimed at the younger generation that loves an urban lifestyle. The production version of the DSX concept could receive a diesel-hybrid powertrain, which includes a 37 hp electric motor and a 163 hp internal combustion engine. The total output of the Citroen DSX is expected to be around the 200 hp. Citroen could offer the production version of the DSX with a petrol engine too. In this case, the SUV will put out a bit more than 240 hp. The DSX is going to be available with an all-wheel-drive system too.

The Citroen DSX concept measures around 4.70 meters in length, which means it falls in the same market segment as the Audi Q5. Citroen will probably launch the DSX in 2014 and it's going to be priced less than 40,000 EUR.
