Citroen revealed today the DS 5LS R concept, which previews a future high-performance, luxury sedan. The Citroen DS 5LS R is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that develops 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque. In comparison to the DS 5LS, the R version has a 15-mm lowered suspension system, and a wider front track. Citroen's DS 5LS R comes equipped with a sequential transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Citroen also retuned the chassis, brakes and suspension of the DS 5LS R. The Citroen DS 5LS R features an anodized Carmine Red exterior paint with a matt metallic finish, various distinctive logos, and matt carbon grey wide side stripes. Citroen also fitted the DS 5LS R with various carbon fiber trim parts, and 20-inch alloys.
For the interior of the DS 5LS R, Citroen chose a leather and Alcantara upholstery, Carmine Red accents on the instruments and steering wheel, and carbon fiber styling accents.
