Dodge revealed this week the new Challenger SRT Hellcat, which, judging from its specs, is the most powerful ever built. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine that develops more than 600 hp. The Dodge Challenger Hellcat can be ordered with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Hellcat version of the Dodge Challenger SRT comes equipped with split-seven spoke 20x9.5-inch forged-aluminum wheels with a matte black finish or a Brass Monkey/dark bronze finish, and Pirelli P Zero tires. The Challenger SRT Hellcat is fitted with the largest front-brake package ever offered in an SRT vehicle. It includes 390-mm (15.4-inch) Brembo two-piece discs with 6-piston calipers.

The Hellcat's ABS, ESC and traction control systems are tuned to match the car's performance.

In terms of exterior design, the Challenger Hellcat comes with a vertical-split front grille, power-bulge aluminum hood with a cold-air intake and air vents. The Challenger Hellcat is also equipped with an Air Catcher inlet port, which feeds ram-air directly into the engine air box through the driver-side parking lamp. There's also a larger front splitter. At the interior, the Challenger Hellcat features Dark Radar Red accents on the gauges and digital graphics. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat's price and availability are going to be announced at a later date.

UPDATE: Dodge's official specs of the Challenger SRT Hellcat say it develops 707 hp and 880 Nm of torque.
