Ferrari revealed recently the stunning F12tdf (Tour de France), which is going to be built in limited numbers. No, it has nothing to do the bicycle race. The Ferrari F12tdf was built to celebrate the Italian supercar maker's victories in the legendary endurance road race, which they dominated in the 1950s and '60s. The Ferrari F12tdf is powered by a 6,262 cc V12 engine that develops 574 kW (780 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 705 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. In terms of performance, the Ferrari F12tdf is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and to 200 km/h in 7.9 seconds. It has a top speed in excess of 340 km/h. In case you're wondering about its efficiency, Ferrari's official specs say the F12tdf has a combined fuel consumption of 15.4 l/100 km and a 360 g/km CO2 emissions level.

The Ferrari F12tdf comes with a rear-wheel steering system, called Virtual Short Wheelbase, which reduces the car's natural tendency to oversteer. Thanks to the new aerodynamics, the F12tdf generates 87 percent more downforce than the F12 Berlinetta, which in turn, increases its cornering speeds. The F12tdf is also 110 kg lighter than the standard F12 and it has more stopping power thanks to the Extreme Design one-piece brake calipers seen for the first time on the LaFerrari. The F12tdf is able to stop from 100 km/h in 30.5 m and from 200 km/h in 121 m.

As far as the Ferrari F12tdf's engine goes, it comes with Formula 1 mechanical tappets and variable-geometry intake trumpets as well as an upgraded F1 DCT transmission with 6% shorter gear ratios that delivers 30% faster upshifts and 40% faster downshifts.

In comparison to the regular F12, the Ferrari F12tdf is almost twice as efficient and it generates 230 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, which is 107 more.

The Ferrari F12tdf's price has not been announced yet.
