Marc VDS racing team in collaboration with Multimatic in Canada have unveiled today the Ford Mustang GT3. The Ford Mustang GT3 will compete this season in the European FIA GT3 championship. At this point, the details of the new Ford Mustang GT3 are scarce, but apparently the new racer is testing at Ford's European test facility near Luton, Bedfordshire.
The Ford Mustang GT3 from Marc VDS racing is powered by a 5.3 liter V8 engine that develops 560 hp. The Ford Mustang GT3 weighs only 1350kg which gives it quite an impressive power-to-weight ratio. Unfortunately, the performance numbers of the Ford Mustang GT3 have not been released.
The Marc VDS Ford Mustang GT3 will be raced by drivers De Doncker and Maxwell with number #98. The drivers of the number #99 car will be announced at a later date.
Marc VDS racing says it will build Ford Mustang GT3 race car for other customer race teams too. The Ford Mustang GT3 price has not been revealed however.
