The 2013 Ford Mustang GT was unveiled today, ahead of its world debut, which will take place at the 2011 LA Auto Show. Ford's 2013 Mustang GT convertible comes with several updates, including a more aggressive design, and an increased power output. The 2013 Mustang GT comes with re-designed front grille and splitter, and functional heat vents on the hood. The rear lights clusters of the 2013 Mustang GT have been re-styled, and are now connected through a dark band. One of the highlights of the 2013 Mustang GT's exterior design are the front LED strips and the LED rear lights. Ford will sell the 2013 Mustang GT with a choice between 17- and 18-inch alloys, and several other new styling elements.

The 5.0-liter engine of the 2013 Ford Mustang GT now delivers 420 hp, which are sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission.

The optional packages offered by the 2013 Mustang GT include the Track Package and the Brembo Brakes. The track package offers a 3.73 axle, an upgraded radiator, better brake pads, an new engine cooler and the same limited slip diff as the one of the Mustang Boss 302. The Brembo Package includes, apart from the obvious, 19-inch alloys and performance summer tires.
