Last weekend at the Spanish F1 Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton managed to crash in the penultimate lap as he was sitting comfortable on the second place. McLaren says the reason for the crash is that the front left rim of the F1 race car failed which cause a tire explosion. Hamilton lost control of the car and hit the left barrier braking its front left wheel. The reason for the rim failure was not disclosed at this moment. Hamilton came out unharmed from the event, but the crash might have hurt his confidence. Leaving the race in the penultimate lap while being in a second place could be quite a blow.
