Jaguar revealed today the new XE and announced the new car's price, full specifications, and its equipment list. The Jaguar XE measures 4,672 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,416 mm in height and it has a 2,835 mm ling wheelbase. Jaguar's official specs say it weighs 1,474 kg. The XE Jag is going to be available with a range of petrol and diesel engines. The top of the range Jaguar XE S is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that develops 340 PS (250 kW) at 6,500rpm and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque at 4,500rpm. The Jaguar XE S is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.1 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). The jaguar XE's full range of engines is going to be announced in October at the Paris auto show.
Jaguar is going to sell the XE with a choice between an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Jaguar XE is the first model in its segment to feature an aluminum-intensive monocoque chassis. It comes with a rear-wheel-drive system and it's the lightest and stiffest Jaguar sedan. It has an aerodynamic coefficient of Cd 0.26. Jaguar equips the XE with the InControl infotainment system and Intelligent Active Safety technologies.
The Jaguar XE's price starts at £27,000 GBP OTR. The carmaker plans to put it on sale in 2015. Here are the full specifications of the Jaguar XE.
