Jaguar revealed today the new F-Type Project 7, which is going to have its world debut at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Jaguar released today the F-Type Project 7's complete engine specs, its specifications and its full equipment list. Even though Jaguar announced that they will start delivering the Project 7 F-Type from the middle of 2015, they forgot to mention its price. The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that develops 575 PS (423 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 680 Nm (502 lb.-ft.) of torque between 2,500 rpm and 5,500 rpm. The F-Type Project 7 Jag weighs 3,495 lbs. (1,585 kg) which is 80kg less than the F-TYPE V8 S Convertible. Thanks to a lower weight, the Project 7 F-Type Jag can accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
The power of the F-Type Project 7 is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed Quickshift transmission.
As you can imagine, the new version of the F-Type is based on the F-Type Project 7 concept, which had its debut almost a year ago. The production version of the F-Type Project 7, which is going to be limited to 250 units, is the fastest and most powerful road-legal vehicle Jaguar has ever produced. It features carbon-fiber aerodynamic parts, CCM brakes, Torque Vectoring by Braking and race-inspired seats. The F-Type Project 7 is also equipped with a stowable roof and it offers 196 liters of luggage space.
