Following yesterday’s leaked image, Jaguar has just released the first official image of the new F-Type, which is going to be unveiled in Paris at the end of the month. Unfortunately, Jaguar did not yet disclose any technical information regarding the new F-Type. All we know is that it’s going to be powered by a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine that puts out 335 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The Jaguar F-Type V6 will also be available in a more powerful version, which has an output of 374 hp and 460 Nm of torque. Jaguar's top of the range F-Type is going to be powered by a large displacement 5.0-liter V8 engine, that apparently, it will also be supercharged. The V8 F-Type is expected to deliver more than 500 hp.
In terms of styling, the F-Type is an obvious result of the Jaguar C-X16 concept unveiled at last year's Frankfurt auto show. Since the C-X16 is a coupe and the F-Type is a convertible, we can't help but wonder, are going to see a coupe version of the new F-Type too? Jaguar will release all the details of the new F-Type towards the end of this month.
