Lotus announced today that they will unveil the Evora GTE Road Car Concept at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The Lotus Evora GTE will have its world debut at the McCall’s Motorworks Revival event Wednesday night, August 17, at the Monterey Jet Center. The GTE Evora is developed with the sole purpose of competing in the motorsport GTE category, which includes the famous Le Mans 24 Hours race. Based on this endurance racer, Lotus built a road legal version of the Evora, called the GTE Road Car Concept.

The GTE Evora road car is powered by a race-developed engine which outputs around 420 bhp and is coupled with a sequential AMT racing gearbox.

The Lotus Evora GTE Road Car concept sits on ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels with center-lock hubs covered in Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires.

Lotus points out that the road version of the Evora GTE is not just show with no go. It's actually a racing car built for the road.

Lotus did not announce the price of the Evora GTE road car concept, but they will definitely put it into production.
