Maserati released this week the first video of their new SUV concept - the Kubang. The updated Kubang concept had its world debut at this year's Frankfurt auto show, and Maserati seems to be more determined than ever to put it into production. However, the Kubang is still just a design concept, since Maserati did not disclose any of its technical details. The Maserati Kubang will be powered by a new engine developed made by Paolo Martinelli, who previously worked in Formula 1. The Kubang will have an 8-speed gearbox. At this point it's not clear if it will be rear-wheel-drive or if it will come with an all-wheel-drive system, like all the high-end SUVs currently available on the market. In terms of exterior design, the Kubang is all Maserati.
Even though it comes with several new styling features, Maserati's new SUV is still able to display the brand's identity.
