Maserati Levante Revealed Ahead Of Geneva Motor Show Debut

Maserati revealed their first ever SUV, called the Levante, ahead of its global debut, which is going to take place next week at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Maserati did not disclose a whole lot of details about the Levante, however, some of its technical specifications are available. The Maserati Levante is going to be available with petrol and diesel engines, which are going to be mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Some of these engines include a 3.0-liter V6, which is going to be available with either 350 hp or 430 hp. According to various sources, this version of the Maserati Levante is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.3 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 164 mph. The 430 hp version of the Levante can reach the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in 5.2 seconds.

The diesel version of the Maserati Levante will also have a 3.0-liter V6, with an output of 275 hp. The diesel Levante requires 6.9 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) and it has a top speed of 143 mph.

As far as design goes, the Maserati Levante introduces new, tapered headlights separated into two elements, with the upper headlight unit connected to the radiator grille. The equipment list of the Levante includes electronic suspension with controlled damping and air springs, and the Q4 intelligent all-wheel drive system. The Maserati Levante's price and availability are going to be announced at a later date.
