The Zagato Maserati Mostro had its world debut last weekend at this year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The Zagato Maserati Mostro comes with a central-front V8 engine with dry-sump lubrication and a customizable engine-management system. The engine is mated to a semi-automatic, six-speed transmission mounted in the rear, a differential and a rigid tube transaxle. The Zagato Maserati Mostro is equipped with a double wishbone suspension system with a pushrod, spring/ shock absorber system on all four corners. The Zagato Mostro sits on 19-inch alloys with 255/40 R19 (front) and 295/35 R19 (rear) tires. The car is built on a carbon fiber MonoCell chassis with a mid-structure of steel tubes. It also features a subframe that holds the fuel tank, exhaust system, rear suspension and the gearbox. It features a carbon fiber body. The Zagato Mostro celebrates Maserati's centenary. It is inspired by the 1957 Maserati 450 S Coupe Zagato Monster, which was built for the the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the request of Sir Stirling Moss. The Zagato Maserati Mostro's price has not been announced. The Italian design house announced that onley five of them are going to be built. They will be delivered by December 2015.
