McLaren revealed this week the 650S Spider at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Just as the coupe, the McLaren 650S Spider is powered by a 3.8-liter Twin Turbo V8 engine that develops 650 PS at 7,250 rpm and 678 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. However, McLaren's Spider 850S weighs 1,370 kg (3,020 lbs.), which is 50 kg (88 lbs.) more than the coupe. This influences its performance figures. The McLaren 650S Spider accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3 seconds, just as the coupe, but it needs 0.2 more seconds to get to 200 km/h (124 mph) and 1.1 seconds more to get to 300 km/h (186 mph). It also runs the quarter mile slower and it brakes later than the coupe. The McLaren 650S Spider is also £20,000 more expensive the coupe, with a price tag of £215,250 RRP.

The McLaren 650S Spider comes with a two-piece retractable hard top that can be opened/closed in less than 17 seconds at a speed of up to 30km/h (19mph). Here are the full specifications of the 650S Spider.
