A recent rumor stated that McLaren is considering building a McLaren MP4-12C 2+2 4 seats version. However, the rumor was officially dismissed by Mark Harrison, the company's PR manager. The same person from inside McLaren stated that the company will stick to its plans of building mid-engined, two seats sportcars only.
Although this is the official position regarding the McLaren MP4-12C 2+2 4 seats rumor, we have seen situations in the past when a new model is being denied until it very fist public appearance. Until recently this was the case with the new M 1 Series coupe, which was being denied despite the numerous spy images and videos circling the web.
This could also be the case with the McLaren MP4-12C 2+2 4 seats, about which the rumor has some very specific details, including a price range.
Whether or not the McLaren MP4-12C 2+2 4 seats will become a reality, we'll just have to wait and see.
