According to a rumor started today by the German press, the McLaren MP4-12C will get a 4 seats version for the "small family". The 4-seat version of the McLaren MP4-12C will be a 2+2 coupe developed in-house and powered by the same 3.8 liter V8 engine which outputs 600 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The performance figures of the 4 seats McLaren MP4-12C 2+2 will be less impressive than the one of the current model due to the extra weight. The current McLaren MP4-12C needs less than 10 seconds to reach 200 km/h and has an official top speed of 320 km/h. The McLaren MP4-12C 2+2 GT will be equipped with the same seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The manufacturer says that McLaren MP4-12C 2+2 4 seater will not be able to accommodate 4 grown
adults. The rear seats will be more appropriate for two children.
The price for the new 2+2 McLaren MP4-12C will revolve around the 145,000 EUR mark.
