
The first McLaren MP4-12C info has showed up over the week-end, previewing the new model which apparently will be unveiled this week. According to the British press, the new McLaren MP4-12C will be unveiled on Wednesday and will go on sale in 2011. Ron Dennis, the boss at McLaren, also says the new McLaren MP4-12C will be followed by two other new models.
The McLaren MP4-12C will feature a number of new technologies which have their origins in the company's Formula One division. The McLaren MP4-12C will be powered by a V8 engine coupled with a 7-speed gearbox which will be able to take it to a top speed of more than 200 mph. The McLaren MP4-12C will also feature an adjustable suspension which will offer a comfortable ride in city driving and good handling on the track.
For that wall poster look, the McLaren MP4-12C will come with gull-wing doors and will be equipped with in-car technologies such as a wi-fi connection and navigation.
The McLaren MP4-12C price will be 150,000 GBP and the company is expecting to sell at least 1,000 units.
Regarding the two other models, which have not yet been named, one will be a 60,000 GBP entry level model to rival the Porsche 911 and the second one will be 330,000 GBP car to replace the Porsche Carrera GT.
