Mercedes released today the first image of the high-performance version of the CLA Class - the CLA45 AMG. The world debut of the Mercedes CLA45 AMG is going to take place in a few weeks in New York. Apparently, the CLA45 AMG is going to be featured in the "Driveclub", which is a new video game developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and Evolution Studios for the PlayStation 4 game console. Just as the new A45 AMG, the Mercedes CLA45 AMG is going to be powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 265 kW (360 hp) and 450 Nm of torque. Unfortunately, Mercedes did not disclose the performance figures of the CLA45 AMG. However, taking into account the fact that the A45 needs 4.6 seconds to get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) and that the CLA45 AMG is a bit heavier, we can assume that the sedan can reach 62 mph in around 4.7 or 4.8 seconds.
In terms of design, the Mercedes CLA45 will come with a rear diffuser, and two rectangular exhaust pipes, one on each side. We'll have more details regarding the Mercedes CLA45 AMG as soon as the German carmaker makes them available.
