All the images of the new Mercedes CLA45 AMG leaked over the web today, along with a few new technical details of the high-performance four-door coupe. The new Mercedes CLA45 AMG is expected to have its world debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show next week. The Mercedes CLA45 is going to be powered by the same engine as the newly unveiled A45 AMG. This means it's going to have a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that develops 360 hp (265 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 2,250 rpm and 5,000 rpm. The CLA45 AMG will probably need just a bit more than 4.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h). Its top speed will most likely be limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). An interesting aspect of the CLA45 is that it's going to benefit from a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and a SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed gearbox.
In terms of exterior design, the Mercedes CLA45 AMG is going to be very similar to the regular CLA Class, when fitted with the AMG Sport Package. However, there are a few differences. The CLA45 AMG seems to have a carbon fiber front spoiler lip, carbon vents surrounds, contrasting side skirts, and a rear diffuser. ITs rear bumper has vents for cooling the brakes. For the interior of the CLA45 AMG, Mercedes is offering a sport steering wheel, and carbon fiber trim parts.
