Mercedes premiered the G63 AMG 6x6 last week at the 2013 Geneva motor show and it took the world by storm. The Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 is currently just a show car, but the German carmaker says it is very close to production. At first look, you might be inclined to believe that the G63 AMG 6x6 is yet another Dakar rally car, but it's not. It has all the interior luxuries you would expect from an AMG Mercedes. To power the G63 6x6, Mercedes chose the 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine that's good for 400 kW (544 hp) and 760 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission and five differential locks which can be engaged on the move. The Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 has six driven wheels and it offers space for just 4 occupants.

If you want the ultimate off-rad machine, this is probably it. It has 460 mm of ground clearance, a 52 degree / 54 degree angle of approach/departure, a 30 degree (58%) tilt angle and a 1000 mm fording depth.

The G63 6x6 measures 5.87 m in length, 2.30 m in height and it weighs 3850 kilograms. It comes with carbon fiber exterior trim parts, LED lights, flared wheel arches and a distinctive stainless-steel roll-over bar. Its load area is lined with bamboo, but Mercedes says is tough enough to hold virtually anything. At the interior, the 6x6 G63 AMG comes with red or light brown designo leather, heated and ventilated electrically adjustable individual seats, an Alcantara roof liner and a special center console for the rear passengers.
