Mcchip-DKR revealed today a rather serious power upgrade for the latest version of the Mercedes G63 AMG. The standard 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine of the G63 AMG Merc develops 544 hp and 760 Nm of torque. Thanks to Mcchip's powerkit, the same engine is able to put out as much as 810 hp. That's more than 50 percent more power! Mcchip's power upgrade increases the torque of the same engine to 950 Nm. Now this is a true beast. Mcchip's 810 hp power kit for the Mercedes G63 AMG includes a stage 4 reprogramming of the ECU, more potent turbos, steel conrod and turbo pipes, and sports cats. Mcchip says that thanks to their performance upgrade kit, the Mercedes G63 AMG is able to reach a top speed of 142 mph (230 km/h). Unfortunately, they did not mention the SUV's 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time.
The fun part is just beginning. Mcchip did not just increase the power output of the G63's engine. They've also increased its ride height by 15 cm and its width by 12 cm, and when we say width, we're talking about axles and tires. To top it off, Mcchip fitted their G63 with a set of 18-inch Beadlock rims and 37x15.20R18 off-road tires. Managing all this power is a KW DDC suspension, and a set of MOV'IT brakes. Mcchip did not disclose the price of their upgrades for the Mercedes G63 AMG.
