A facelifted version of the Merc CL is in the works, but the Brits from Autocar believe the car would be more appropriately named the Mercedes S Class Coupe. They even have a spy image of it. The new Mercedes S Class Coupe will feature LED daytime running lights and newly designed headlamps. Other design changes of the Mercedes S Class Coupe include LED rear lights, new side mirrors and a redesigned front bumper with new air intakes.
Apparently, the powertrain from the S400 Hybrid will also be available on the Mercedes S Class Coupe and we could also see an AMG version. The engine line-up of the Mercedes S Class Coupe will be roughly the same as the one of the four-door, with slight performance enhancements.
The Mercedes S Class Coupe is expected to arrive next year.
