Apparently, BMW is looking to launch next year, the Mini Cooper S Diesel which is expected to output 143 hp and a rather serious 300 Nm of torque. The Mini Cooper S Diesel will have a 1.6-liter engine and at some point will also be made available on the Mini Countryman S Diesel. The Mini Cooper S Diesel will output 300 Nm of torque which will be available from 1.750 rpm to 2.500 rpm. The new version of the model is expected to offer a fuel economy between 4 liters and 4.5 liter per 100 km. The CO2 emissions level of the Mini Cooper S Diesel is expected to fall in the 110 g/km category.
The new version of the popular model is expected to debut at the Paris Auto Show next month and will probably go on sale early in 2011.
The Mini Cooper S Diesel price is not known yet, but expect to be around the 29,000 EUR mark.
