Nelson 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Nelson Racing Engines' 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is quite possible the most powerful road-going Camaro ever built. The Nelson 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a twin-turbo intercooled 572 cubic inch big block Chevy crate engine, that's been upgraded to develop 2,000 hp! No, that's not a misspelling. It's two thousand horsepowers. To get such a high output, Nelson Racing Engines equipped their '69 Camaro with dual fuel injectors per cylinder featuring "Octane on Demand" technology. This system is able to inject race fuel in the secondary injector under boost only conditions, while driving around on 91 octane fuel. Nelson's Chevy Camaro (1969) is also equipped with a full 304 stainless exhaust system with an x-pipe, and a dual-row dual-pass aluminum radiator with twin high-output electric fans.

To send the power from the Chevy's engine to the wheel, Nelson equipped their mad Camaro with a 6-speed gearbox taken from a Dodge Viper and a twin 10.5 inch dual disc clutch. Of course, Nelson also had to upgrade the Camaro's suspension system. It now features Detroit Speed upper and lower arms, adjustable coilover shock absorbers, and Koni adjustable springs. For increased stopping power, Nelson chose a set of electrically assisted 4wheel Baer disc brakes.

At the interior, Nelson's 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is fitted with a 1000-watt sound system, bespoke low-back leather seats and a vintage AC system.

Nelson did not disclose the price of their '69 Camaro, but we expect it to leave quite a whole in your pocket. Afterall, fun is expensive.
