As the Frankfurt auto show is getting closer to its grand opening, Audi releases new images of their groundbreaking new concepts - the Urban and the Urban Spyder. Both, the Audi Urban Concept and the Audi Urban Concept Spyder are electric vehicles, destined for city use, which feature a 1+1 seating configuration. Both concepts are built with lightweight in mind, offering a sporty and fun way of driving around the city. they are powered by two e-tron electric motors, juiced by lithium-ion batteries. Audi's Urban Concept and Urban Concept Spyder are built from a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer and feature free-standing wheels, much like a single seat race car.
The "coupe" version of the Audi Urban Concept
features a unique roof, that slides backwards to offer access for the passengers. The spider's unique feature is its continuous window that stretches from one side of the vehicle, to the other.
Audi will release more details regarding the two concepts at the time of their premiere.
