The new FIA President is Jean Todt who was elected today with 135 votes in favor, while his competitor, Ari Vatanen, received 49 votes. This ends the 16 years long reign of Max Mosley who announced its support for Todt.
Together with the new President, the following positions have also been occupied: President of the Senate Nick Craw, President, Automobile Competition Committee for the US (USA), Deputy President Automobile Mobility & Tourism Brian Gibbons, Chief Executive, New Zealand Automobile Association (New Zealand), Deputy President Sport Graham Stoker, Council Chairman, Motor Sports Association (UK).
Jean Todt used to race in the WRC, after which he got involved with Ferrari and Formula 1.
