Nissan GT R Nismo To Hit 60 mph In 2 Seconds

 »  »  »

Our sources are reporting today that the future Nissan GT-R Nismo is expected to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in an absolutely incredible 2 seconds. The mystery is not in the power output. The future Nismo GT-R is going to be powered by the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6, which will deliver around 570 bhp. Nismo's secret is in the weight of their GT-R. Apparently, they managed to considerably reduce Godzilla's already slim waist. Nismo is not the only culprit in making the GT-R a 2-second car. They are collaborating with Williams Advanced Engineering. The result of this conspiracy is one of the fastest production cars on the planet. Yes, there are cars with a higher top speed. But when you factor in the price tag, the Nissan GT-R is in a league of its own.

Apparently, the 2-second sprint time is not even the best the GT-R can do. One of Williams' engineers claims there is still a lot of room for improvement. The new Nismo GT-R is not anywhere near the top of the mountain.

The future Nissan GT-R Nismo will come with a full carbon fiber trim with red accents and a bespoke exhaust. Currently, we have no information regarding the price of Nismo's new rocket, but we did learn that it will go on sale towards the end of 2014.
