No Fiat 500 for US

In a speech during the IESE Business School Automotive Sector conference in Barcelona, Spain, Fiat boss, Lorenzo Sistino, said that the introduction of the Fiat 500 in the US market would not be the right move at this time.

The Fiat Group is focusing on re-introducing the Alfa Romeo brand in the US market and Fiat 500 would not feel at home in an Alfa Romeo showroom. Fiat does not have a dealer network in the United States.

The Fiat 500 enjoys an immense success back home on the European market, but the lack of a dealer network on American soil seems to be the main reason for keeping it outside US for the time being.
