Peugeot revealed recently the Quartz Concept, which is going to have its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show next week. The Peugeot Quartz is powered by a HYbrid drivetrain that includes a 1.6-litre THP turbocharged petrol engine with an output of 270 hp and 330 Nm of torque. The Peugeot Quartz is also equipped with two 85kW electric motors with direct drive, one for each axle. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The Peugeot Quartz can run on electricity only for a maximum range of 31 miles. The crossover concept also offers a Road mode and a Racing mode. The Quartz is also fitted with a limited-slip differential for increased driving pleasure. Peugeot equips the Quartz concept with bespoke MacPherson struts, a rear multi-arm suspension, and a pneumatic suspension that adjusts the ground clearance between 300 and 350mm.

The Peugeot Quartz is also fitted with the i-Cockpit system, which allows the driver to use the indicators, change driving modes and shift gears without taking their hands off the wheel. The concept is also equipped with a heads-up display, a configurable screen with a central 45-degree polycarbonate strip, four-point retractable harnesses, and other systems. Peugeot's Quartz measures 4.5m in length and 2.06m in width. It features massive 23-inch wheels.
