Gumpert's Nurburgring lap time record for production cars has lasted just a few days as today Radical has announced that it has set a new one. The Radical SR8LM Nurburgring record is 6:48 which is 23 seconds less than Gumpert's 7:11.57. The Radical SR8LM Nurburgring record was set by driver Dutch driver Michael Vergers who also managed a 6:56 lap time in 2005.
The Radical SR8LM is powered by a 2.8 liter engine that develops 455 bhp and is able to get to a top speed of 10,500 rpm. The engine of the Radical SR8LM features Suzuki GSXR 1300 cylinder heads and Powertec crank case assembly and weighs only 88kg.
If you want to go for Nurburgring lap time record in a Radical SR8LM you'll have to take 89,000 GBP out of your pocket.
