Skoda revealed today their first SUV concept, which is called the VisionS. The Skoda VisionS SUV concept is going to have its world debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. As you'll probably imagining, the Skoda's new small SUV is based on the Volkswagen Tiguan. Currently, the VisionS is just a design study, but we're pretty confident it will go into production in the near future. In fact, rumor has it that the production version of the Skoda VisionS is going to have its world debut at this year's Paris auto show in October. It's possible that the new Czech SUV is going to be called the Skoda Kodiak.

The Skoda VisionS measures 4.7 meters in length, 1.68 meters in height, and 1.91 meters in width. It has a 2.79-meter long wheelbase.

Skoda did not release any images of the interior of the VisionS, but they do mention it offers six seats.

The Skoda VisionS is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which includes a 1.4 TSI turbocharged petrol engine and an electric motor. The engine outputs 156 hp and 250 Nm of torque while the electric motor adds an extra 54 hp and 220 Nm of torque. The Skoda VisionS also benefits from a second electric motor with 115 hp and 270 Nm of torque, which powers its rear axle. The AWD VisionS concept comes equipped with the six-speed DSG transmission. The concept's 12.4 kWh battery offers a maximum electric-only range of 50 km. In hybrid more, the Skoda VisionS promises a maximum range of 1,000 km.

In terms of performance, the Skoda VisionS can accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.4 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). Skoda says that the VisionS offers a fuel consumption of 1.9 liters / 100 km (148.6 mpg UK) and a 45 g/km CO2 emissions level.
