Superchips, a well known performance ECU manufacturer, has announced today a new product for the BMW 320d E90-E93. The Superchips BMW 320d ECU gives the 2.0-litre diesel engine an extra 44bhp and 103Nm of torque. This means the Superchips BMW 320d develops 220bhp and 444Nm of torque. apart from the extra performance, the manufacturer also says the car becomes easier to drive. The tuner also says the fuel consumption is not affected by this upgrade.
The company offers two ways of getting the new Superchips BMW 320d re-map. You can either go to a specialized dealer, or upload the software yourself via a new Bluefin handset. If you use the Bluefin handset to upload the Superchips BMW 320d re-map you can save your original one as
well. This will enable you to turn your car to the original settings any time.

Vehicle remapping specialist Superchips Ltd is delighted to announce the launch of a new,
warrantied performance ECU upgrade for the popular BMW 320D featuring the 2.0-litre, 175bhp turbo diesel powerplant.
Superchip’s electronic calibration technicians identified a number of performance enhancement opportunities within the 320D’s Bosch EDC17 ECU to develop a new map, which was optimised using the firm’s in house chassis dynomometer and then combined with extensive road testing for final validation.
The end result is an ECU remap which adds a stunning extra 44bhp and 103Nm to the E90-E93
320D, increasing the maximum outputs to 220bhp and 444Nm respectively, transforming the performance of the 1495 kilo car. Driveability is also greatly improved, producing a car that’s both faster and easier to drive.
Pleasingly, the 320D’s much praised fuel economy is unaffected by the Superchip’s ECU remap and in most instances consumption improves due to the extra low rev torque available to the driver.
The new Superchips E90-E93 320D ECU remap is available in two formats for customers. Firstly, they have the option of visiting one of approximately 100 Superchips dealerships in the UK who will install the upgrade.
Secondly, they can purchase the product and self upload it in minutes using the innovative, market leading Bluefin handset. No technical skills are required as customers simply plug in the Bluefin handset to the BMW’s ECU OBDII diagnostics port, follow the on screen instructions and in a few minutes the Superchips program upload is complete.
As part of this process the original factory BMW 320D ECU map is stored on the Bluefin handset for
